Privacy Policy

The short version: we don't collect your data. Keepset runs entirely on your Mac. Your patient records never leave your computer.

1. Data We Collect

Data We Do NOT Collect

Patient records, clinical notes, or any Protected Health Information (PHI)
Patient names, dates of birth, phone numbers, or addresses
Appointment schedules or billing information
Session notes, treatment plans, or outcome measure scores
Documents or files imported into Keepset

All of the above is stored exclusively on your Mac's local storage, encrypted with SQLCipher AES-256 encryption. We have no access to it.

Data We DO Collect

License activation: License key, a unique device identifier (generated locally, not your Mac's serial number), activation date, and app version. Transmitted via HTTPS for license verification only. Contains no PHI.

Email signup (website only): Email address, only if you voluntarily sign up for product updates.

Data We Never Collect

No analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry
No cookies (the app is not web-based)
No data shared, sold, or rented to third parties
No advertising
No crash reporting that captures user data
No iCloud or Apple cloud service for data storage

2. How Your Data is Protected

Encryption at rest: SQLCipher AES-256-CBC with 256,000 KDF iterations.

Local-only architecture: No cloud backend, no server-side database, no remote data storage.

Network usage: Keepset connects to the internet only for license validation, software updates, and optional add-on services (text messaging via Twilio, cloud backup via AWS). No PHI is transmitted.

3. Your Rights

You own all data stored in Keepset. You can export it anytime (PDF, CSV, database backup). You can delete it anytime. Since we don't store your data, there is nothing to request deletion of from our servers.

4. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and including a notice in the app's update notes.
